It's all about the fabric! Favourite Fabrics of 2009

2009 was a year of discovery for me. Before this year, I had no idea about different fabric designers really. Most of my fabric purchases were from Spotlight as that was all that I thought was really available to me. As I began to shop online for my fabric, I made new discoveries and here are some of my favourite fabric discoveries of 2009...

  3. Nice fabrics. I was just wondering if you know where in Australia I can buy nice cotton fabric (t-shirt fabrics etc) for childrens' wear?? I've looked everywhere, but can't find anything. I've bought some from the US and some from Sweden, but postage is just sooo expensive.... Nice blog!!

  4. Love your list! And really, really love the Lantern Bloom bag. That's your sewing work, right? Just found out that Laura Gunn has a new fabric line coming out, Poppies (saw a preview on the Michael Miller website). It's another gorgeous line based on her paintings. I may love Popplies more than Lantern Bloom!

  6. LillaBarn, if only I knew. When I see really nice stretch fabrics in shops, I grab it. My mum has actually bought some lovely stretch fabrics for me as well. It is so hard to know what you are getting on-line. If I ever do find a good supplier of this sort of thing I will be sure to blog it.

Micmacker - When I saw your comment, I had to go and check it out. It's beautiful! I think I might need to get some of that.

I can't believe so many people missed Hummingbirds in Lime. It was the banner fabric of the Flora and Fauna collection!

  7. What wonderful discoveries you have made Carmel. Like you, the world of fabric beyond Spotlight opened up to me too this year and what a wonderful world it is... although it can be hard to say no!

Your summary is great and gorgeous.
