Our Creative Space

It might look quiet around here, but I have been rather busy....

I was recently lucky to attend the first half of a Don't Look Now workshop with Kellie Wulfsohn. She is such a lovely lady, and had heaps of wonderful tips for raw edge appliqué. I am looking forward to the next installment, where we learn to quilt our little masterpieces and turn them into cushions.

Liam and Noah have been a little creative too. I had their little table set up in the sun-room (where I sew, and we have our computers) with their new textas so that they could do some supervised colouring. The next morning they were up bright and early and managed to sneak in there and do some more - to my pattern sheets!

I guess they were a little irresistible. They also coloured some of my applique, but luckily it was only the back, and since it will be a cushion, no one will see it. Oh, and the textas are Crayola washables, so far it has washed out of any clothes they have drawn on, and comes off their skin with just a wet facecloth.
