My goal is to sew 50 garments this year. I've only made 7 so far, here and here , so I'd better get a move on.

  6. I think I would first go with the Ombre fabrics as I have a pattern for a Crayon baby quilt that I would love to make for my niece.. and then maybe some felt as my friend has inspired me to make stuff toys for the children's ward at my local hospital like she does... She just had a hand in designing the cutest little baby in a blanket that I am wanting to make.

  7. I would buy a selection of mustard, green, Brown and orange patterned fabrics to make a retro themed quilt for my daughter to use and pass on to her children.

  8. Wow, what beautiful store your cousin has! I could explore it all day!

The first thing I would buy from there is the Little Red pattern. I've been wanting to make one for a while. Of course then I would need all the beautiful fabrics to complete it and luckily she has an awesome selection to make that happen. I love the way you can shop fabric by design too (I have thing for chevrons)! :o)

  9. I'd love to try the Iron On Vinyl in the notions sections. I think you could make some cute toiletry bags with it. I'd use the Amy Adams cream mustaches for his, obviously and Tula Pink aqua raindrops for mine.

Thanks for showing us a new shop and for hosting a giveaway.

  10. Deborah Edwards - Feathered Friends - Chevrons & Vines are absolutely gorgeous!

I am getting married soon and I want to make two ring holders for when I do the dishes and have a shower, I have never been a jewellery kind of girl and I want to look after them. I was thinking something small hanging, with pockets to hold the rings but after browsing on pinterest I have a few more ideas! I would most definitely use these gorgeous fabrics.

  11. I love finding great fabric shops that are in Australia, thanks!
I would choose the Anne Kelle Ready Set Go planes & pair it with her multi-coloured zig zag & some of the pimatex basics (spots & stripes) to make a bed sitting for my friends impending baby boy.

  12. What a fabulous selection of fabrics...too many to choose a favourite.
I have got a pattern for reversible rompers and the Bicycles from Day in the Park for one side and the Kites from the same range for the other side.

  13. My soon to be 6 yo is waiting for me to get my act together and make him a superhero toy... I need to buy some felt first so that would definitely be on my list!

  14. There are some great fabrics to choose from over at Two Blue Birdies and its great that we are getting more options to buy wool felt here in Aus. My 2.5 year old is dinosaur mad at the moment so i think that i would make him a dinosaur playmat with the felt, complete with trees, volcanoes, caves and water then i would back it with the babysaurus - Dinos All Over in Navy fabric. Thanks. Michelle

  15. Ahhh I just cut my purple felt out incorrectly - Now I definitely need to win ALL the rainbow colours! I can't make a ballerina without pretty hair! ;-)

  16. hmmm Ok. I would buy the Melly and Me Tally and Trip pattern so I could make them!!! They are uber cute!!! But if I had to choose fabric... I would buy the Riley blake design chevrons, because I think the little turtle shells would be cute in chevron!

  17. I would use the Ready, Set, Go! helicopters....I've been keeping an eye out at the shops for helicopter fabric that isn't too babyish, and I love that one. I want to make a keepsake of some sort for my boss/friend who lost her husband last year. He was a helicopter pilot :) Lovely giveaway Carmel!

  18. I would love the Amy Adams - Geekly Chic - Cassettes in Blue. I would make some super cool little retro shorts for my little boy!

  19. I would buy some Amy Adams - Geekly Chic - Geekly Moustache in Aqua to make a shirt from my chicly geek!

  20. So many wonderful fabrics but if I had to pick I'd use Cloud 9 Alegria Blue Hearts to make Ric Rac's TeaSet pattern

  21. Feathered Friends range. Id make myself a little clutch. I really like the felt pack too.

  22. Well, I like the Ombre Solid selection, also Dear Stella - Play Date - Elephants in white..
Not sure really what to make yet.
Maybe some thing with the Elephants in the centre and Ombre Solids around it..

  23. What a lovely shop two blue birdies is!
You know in the 'olden days' when sisters (and maybe even brothers-sis/bro matching sailor suits anyone lol) wore the same matching clothes.... well I think I need to introduce my 3 daughters (ages 12,4,2) the joy of dressing the same! I imagine I could get away with it, with some super cool fabric like "Deborah Edwards - Feathered Friends - Chevrons in Multi" or even "Ann Kelle - Remix - Zig Zag Stripe in Bermuda" made into a classy maxi dress much like the VFT my head the girls look fantastic! Otherwise I'd buy some wool felt in rainbow colours to make some great dollies... which in my head also look fantastic! LOL

  24. I have been drooling over the Geekly Chic fabric since it came out so definitely something from that collection!! I would have to use it for something for myself for a change, maybe a skirt or dress for when summer finally comes back :)

  25. Hi.
I would love 1/2 a yard of the Tula Pink - Prince Charming - Dew Drop in Indigo fabric. I've been looking for some as I've decided to make a quilt for each of my five boys for their 10th birthday. My eldest is turning 10 this November, and his favourite colour is yellow. He has also said that he thinks some teal/aqua would go well. So this fabric includes both these colours and is not 'girly' whilst not being little boy patterned either - it's a quilt I hope will last him till he's all grown....! Thanks

  26. I would buy the gorgeous Tula Pink Prince Charming fabrics and make a reversible nappy tote ... they are divine!!! :)

  27. It's always so hard to choose with such a great range!!! I think I'd have to go with a selection of felt. It's so hard to find good quality felt and I'm dying to work on some felted woodland creatures with my daughter.
    What a great giveaway!

  28. Fabric with Kites
    Fabric with bikes
    And some bunting too.
    To make a quilt
    that I could send
With love from me to you!!!

  29. I'd buy the Day in the Park bicycle fabric and make myself a padded bicycle seat and a matching cover for my bicycle basket. Too much to add a matching head scarf? Probably!

  30. Red and yellow and
    pink and green.
    Purple and orange and blue.
    I could sew a rainbow!
    Sew a rainbow,
Sew a felt rainbow too :-)

  31. I think Hubby needs to get a second job - there is sew much yumminess over in the shop!

Hmmm, now what would I buy and then make with it.

The rainbow felt is just adorable - I have been meaning to try making some felt food whilst my little fellow is still somewhat little!

I also love the Read Set Go collection - I would love to make a quilt for my 19yo brother - and these range would be such a giggle!

The Geekly Chic would have to be my fave though - I have many projects planned in my head for my entire family. PJ sets, Ipod cases, sunglasses case for me. Oh the list is far to big to type. LOL

  32. I would buy black and white felt to use for my Humpty Dumpty Family as I have run out and all the colours of the rainbow to make macrons and teabags for my tea pot sets :) Karmel McKinnon fb

  33. Ooooh look at all the felt!!!!
Wow. I wouldn't know where to begin. Id need the rainbow felt because I cant get enough of rainbows. Id make a rainbow concentric circle mobile for my 6yo son. He'd love it!
