SPEC-tacular!

I just finished this spec-case today.

It's my mum's (belated) birthday present.

It is one of Nicole Mallalieu's latest patterns.

The main fabric and the lining are both American Jane that I got in my Badskirt package. The red was from my applique stash - it is a pretty good match!

Mum was pretty pleased.

I have to admit, this was a bit of a fiddly project, but we got there in the end.

  1. I can imagine how small and fiddly it would be. But it does look great and I am not surprised your mum loves it.

  6. Nice work. What a great present for your Mum... did you have a hard time giving it up? When it was finished, did you want to keep it?

  7. This has turned out gorgeous! I love your fabric choices.

I may have to get one of these patterns as my little Lottie is a spec wearer and I am sure she would love something special and girly to keep them in.

  8. Fab spec case! Yep - it's a fiddly little bugger but I can tell you that if you make it a few times it really becomes easier to whizz together!
