I just finished this spec-case today.
It's my mum's (belated) birthday present.
It is one of Nicole Mallalieu's latest patterns.
The main fabric and the lining are both American Jane that I got in my Badskirt package. The red was from my applique stash - it is a pretty good match!
Mum was pretty pleased.
I have to admit, this was a bit of a fiddly project, but we got there in the end.
I can imagine how small and fiddly it would be. But it does look great and I am not surprised your mum loves it.
ReplyDeleteYou are getting so clever with your bags/cases and purses!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous - and such a stylish way to carry your specs. I hope your mum loves it!
Oh I LOVE IT!!! Now for someone who wears glamorous specs, this is very hip! Well done, your mum is a lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteI love the choice of fabric for your sunny case very cool.
ReplyDeleteOooh I saw this over at Flickr. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNice work. What a great present for your Mum... did you have a hard time giving it up? When it was finished, did you want to keep it?
ReplyDeleteThis has turned out gorgeous! I love your fabric choices.
ReplyDeleteI may have to get one of these patterns as my little Lottie is a spec wearer and I am sure she would love something special and girly to keep them in.
Fab spec case! Yep - it's a fiddly little bugger but I can tell you that if you make it a few times it really becomes easier to whizz together!
