I won't bore you with all the details, but I have heaps of pictures...
Again, made using the Kwik Sew Sewing For Toddlers book, using some fabric that mum found for me.

Monkey Hoody
I quite liked how quickly the last hoody sewed up, so I made another.
This time I added an embroidery from Embroidery Library. The banana surfing monkey is one of this month's freebies, so if you want one for yourself, you should get one before the month is over.

Liam is three!
Last Tuesday, Liam turned three. Nanna and Grandad came to help him celebrate with a special birthday dinner.
I made him a cake and he managed to blow out all three candles in two giant puffs, set to rival the big bad wolf.
The cake was inspired by another blogger, who was also inspired by The Idea Room.
(Hey, check out the action shot of me dropping icing everywhere!)
My cake started out looking like a bunch of very colourful pancakes, which I had to cool and store overnight in my locked pantry.
But a bit of icing fixed that. I haven't made my boys a birthday cake yet, that didn't have Smarties on it. This one had tiny marshmallows too.
Both Liam and Noah were pretty impressed with the cake. I missed Liam's excited expression when I cut the cake and he was able to see the colourful layers, although Maxx was able to catch it on video.
He was pretty excited about his new red tricycle too!

Robot Hoody
I made this top for Liam on Wednesday. Entirely. I traced the pattern from the Kwik Sew - Sewing For Toddlers book. I cut it out. I embroidered the robot on the front piece and I put it together mostly with my overlocker. All in one day. With two toddlers running around, that is a mean feat!
The robot is from the set called Radical Robots, that I purchased from Embroidery Library last year. I used it for Noah's Hat as well. I should mention that I actually purchased the set using a voucher that they sent me for my birthday - isn't that lovely and generous of them?
I have just received another voucher (my birthday is next week), still trying to decide what to buy with it...
My Creative Space - More Pajamas!
I made the boys more pajamas on the weekend. Bottoms on Saturday and tops on Sunday. I wanted to try out my new machine on a pattern that I was already familiar with.
I had some dramas on Sunday evening where Noah was upset and crying on my lap, and that is when Liam decided to grab one of the six buttons I had and run off with it to who knows where. As I couldn't chase after him, the button disappeared. It strangely re-appeared on Monday, (shortly after mentioning it to my sister on the phone) when I did the button holes and sewed the buttons on.
The automatic button hole feature is so far, one of my favourite things with the new sewing machine. I am sure I will discover more favourite things along the way.
On Tuesday morning I tried to take some nice pictures.... I guess these will do. I mean, the kids are in the shot at least!

My Creative Space...
...has a new sewing machine in it. There are heaps of things that I want to do that just can't be done with my old machine, so I've upgraded!
By the way, in the background, you can see what looks like a watering can. It's really Noah's whipper snipper!
